Matthias Tschopp Quartet plays Miró

A black melody to yellow chords, red harmonies to the rhythms of brushwork. With his recent project, the baritone saxophonist Matthias Tschopp sets works of the Catalan painter Joan
Mirò (1893–1983) to music. Modern art interpreted as jazz: inventive, original, colourful.
Mirò’s paintings are shown during the concert and their musical interpretation will be explained. Thus the audience gains a new approach to contemporary jazz – it may immerse into a world where colours, shapes, sounds and imagination melt into one.
